It must have seemed like an unlikely place but it was a pleasing experience for me to find my new love on water. It was not the kind of meeting that happened in a very unlikely situation, but we were on a boat to fly kites when Mira caught my attention. She was asking several questions to the guy who was holding the Cabrinha kites for people to choose from. I am sure she was about to try kiteboarding. Since I already am into the sport, I took the courage to introduce myself.
I was aghast to be ignored for the first time I would not say that I was good-looking but I know for a fact that I do not deserve to be ignored. Thus, even after we have already alighted the boat, I had to do something to get her to notice me. I was just glad that during dinner at the resort, she became more sociable and apologized. She explained how she was so much into learning, and that was the start of another conversation. I did not waste any time to ask for her number, to begin a different chapter of our lives together.
